Rabbi Moshe Pinchas Weisblum

Born in Sde Ya’akov, Israel, Rabbi Moshe Pinchas Weisblum, PhD is a 14th generation Rabbi in his family’s dynasty of rabbinical leaders. His great grandfather was the famous Rabbi Elimelech Weisblum of Lizhensk, Poland, one of the founding Rebbes of the Chasidic movement. Rabbi Weisblum studied at Yeshivat Torat Emet, in Haifa, at Yeshivat Itri and at Yeshivat Ohr Etzion. He earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and a PhD degree in Philosophy from Baltimore Hebrew University (now Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University). He has been awarded numerous prizes and awards, including the Sidney Breitbart Prize in Jewish philosophy from Baltimore Hebrew University. The Rabbi came to Congregation Beth Tikvah (CBT) with over 23 years of pulpit experience.

Rabbi Weisblum served as a consultant on Middle Eastern affairs in Washington, DC and has been on numerous TV talk shows, commenting on social and political issues. He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Board of Rabbis, Union of Traditional Judaism, and Morasha Rabbinic fellowship, as well as many other academic and rabbinic organizations.

Rabbi Weisblum has published 7 books, including “Table Talk Biblical Questions and Answers” and “Ruth Talk”. He is an accomplished musician and not only plays in CBT’s band but is the Musical Director as well.

He is blessed with five children and twenty grandchildren.
